Send your submissions to writersglasgowjapan@yahoo.co.uk. The reading deadline is April 17th.
Please read the following carefully before submitting work:
Submissions should be inspired by Japan, whether prose, poetry, or artwork. Feel free to interpret this theme as you wish, and if you’re stuck please check out the Inspirations page for ideas.
We suggest around 2,500 words as an upper word limit, but writers should not feel bound by this if they have something special to offer. However, as space will be at a premium, we are likely to prefer shorter submissions.
While this is a charity anthology, and the main goal is to raise money, we will seek to publish stories and poetry of the highest quality, so please send us only your very best work.
Please email submissions as an attachment, either .doc or .rtf. A short third person biography should be included in the email along with your contact details.
Work will be credited appropriately and the author will retain copyright. Submission of material acknowledges the charitable purpose of this publication and we therefore are unable to pay our writers.
Please note….the email address has changed as of 28 March 2011. The previous email address will be checked anyway (just not as quickly or by so many people!) so don’t worry.
